Important safety notice for phone holders in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of phone holders (adhesive, suction, magnetic/MagSafe, air vent, windshield or dashboard, bicycle/scooter, desk arms). Due to the risk of device falling, visibility restrictions, presence of magnets and adhesives, please follow the instructions below to avoid injuries and damage.

Basic safety and handling principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Small parts and magnets may pose a swallowing hazard; the product is not a toy.
• Strength and load capacity: Use only with phones and cases within the weight range specified by the manufacturer; always check the attachment before driving.
• Visibility and airbags: Do not place where driver’s view or airbag operation is restricted; comply with local regulations for holder placement in vehicles.
• Heat and sun: Extreme temperatures reduce suction cups and adhesive bonding; do not place on hot surfaces or glass.
• Magnets: Keep strong magnets away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with implants should maintain a safe distance.

Proper and safe use

• Suction cups and smooth surfaces: Mount on clean, degreased, smooth, and non-porous surfaces; regularly clean and reseal the suction cup ring.
• Adhesive pads: Apply at room temperature on a clean surface and observe curing time as per instructions; may not be reusable after removal.
• Magnetic/MagSafe holders: Use compatible rings/cases; do not place metal plates between phone and wireless charger to avoid overheating.
• Ventilation holders: Do not completely block airflow; monitor phone overheating during heating/defrosting.
• Bicycle/scooter: Attach only to recommended handlebar diameter; use in strong vibrations only with holders designed for that and with safety straps.
• Cable routing: Route cables away from controls and pedals; prevent pinching by doors or steering.
• Distraction: Do not adjust or operate the holder while driving; set route before driving or use voice control.

Cleaning, maintenance, and storage

• Cleaning: Wipe with a soft cloth and mild cleaner; solvents may damage plastic, rubber, and adhesives.
• Maintenance: Regularly check screws, joints, and clamps; replace worn suction cups, clips, and adhesive pads.
• Storage: Store dry, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures; protect suction cups with covers, cover adhesive surfaces with foil.

Specific health warnings

• Magnetic fields: Maintain recommended distance with implanted medical devices; consult a doctor if in doubt.
• Skin irritation: Adhesive residues may irritate skin; wash skin if contact occurs and avoid prolonged contact with adhesives.
• Phone overheating: If overheating occurs, stop charging and relocate the holder away from direct sun or hot air from vents.

Disposal

• Safe disposal: Sort plastic and metal parts according to local regulations; magnets and electronic components (if included) should be handed over to electronic waste collection. Dispose of adhesive pads as municipal waste.

• In case of an incident (device fall, visibility restriction, injury) immediately stop using the product and check the installation. Keep the product and proof of purchase for reporting.
